Jesus warned us about false prophets and teachers that will preach gospels that tickle our ears...sound good but are not the truth. There are so many New Age items out there today one really has to be careful. Some are even within the organizations of the Catholic Church - renegade 'nuns' teaching Reiki and such other healings...stay away from them all. Here, you will find some of the newest items or some that have resurfaced. They are for your discernment.

As the world continues on its course and its 'business as usual' posture, we need to become even more prayerful and aware of signs that may present themselves. Although we cannot nor should we try to predict dates of chastisements and warnings, let us continue to have eyes to see and ears to hear and be open to promptings of the Holy Spirit. There are televangelists making predictions, individual self-appointed prophets, and a host of prognosticators making all sorts of guesses concerning the end of the world and the Second Coming of Jesus. Jesus Himself said of this, "No one knows the day or the hour except the Father, Who is in Heaven."

Having said this, remember that Jesus did tell His Apostles (at their request) some of the signs to look for. Read the Gospel for the First Sunday of Advent to refresh yourself although it has only been a few weeks since it was that Sunday. Aside from this, there are many approved prophecies from mystics and those of the Blessed Virgin Mary herself. Fatima is my first choice with La Salette, Lourdes, Garabandal and Medjugorje up there too. Collectively, they speak of our times to be sure but who is listening?

We are to make preparations for the coming chastisements - spiritual preparations first (State of Grace, Mass, Communion, Adoration, Rosary, Chaplet of the Divine Mercy and so on) and then, make some physical preparations like storing water, food, medicine, and blankets to name a few. Each person within their means is to make some preparation and for others who can afford to do more, they need to have a supply on hand to be able to take in those less fortunate if need be. Since we do not know how or when the chastisements will begin for sure, we need to be prepared.

I see that gas is predicted to rise to four dollars a gallon perhaps in the summer. It will probably continue to rise as global conflicts continue and perhaps new ones evolve; who knows? It is not simply gas that hits us all in the pocketbook. Food and our other staple supplies come to us through transportation requiring some type of fuel...therefore, the shippers will have to charge more since they pay more for that fuel, then in turn, we the consumer will pay that difference.

Again, things are gradually coming to a condition due to mans pride, power and politics whereby like a boil, the skin will soon break and the pus of hedonism pour forth. Graphic, yes but most likely true since God, the Author of All Life, has been shoved out of our lives all but officially. What is accepted today is no less than what other societies and cultures have done in the past in their own ways but with the same results; they disappeared and are no more. We have learned nothing from our history and therefore, are bound to repeat it. Insanity is defined in the 12 Step Programs as 'Doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results." God is the only One Who can stop our insanity. Maranatha Lord Jesus.
