Prophecy

Before I come as the just Judge, I am coming first as the King of Mercy. Before the day of justice arrives, there will be given to people a sign in the heavens of this sort:

All light in the heavens will be extinguished, and there will be great darkness over the whole earth. Then the sign of the cross will be seen in the sky, and from the openings where the hands and the feet of the Savior were nailed will come forth great lights which will light up the earth for a period of time. This will take place shortly before the last day.  Jesus — Diary of Divine Mercy, n. 83

The second reading Sunday for the Feast of the Conversion of Saint Paul seems to be ever so prophetic to our times, very prophetic.

1 Cor 7:29-31

I tell you, brothers and sisters, the time is running out.
From now on, let those having wives act as not having them,
those weeping as not weeping,
those rejoicing as not rejoicing,
those buying as not owning,
those using the world as not using it fully.
For the world in its present form is passing away.

From Michael Brown's Spirit Daily website we read:

WHEN 'CHASTISEMENTS' COME, AT LEAST SOME WILL BE 'FASHIONED BY HUMAN HANDS'

We stand at the threshold of a new "uptick" in prophetic events. These events were on the way despite politics.

There is no denying, however, that a fresh new American Administration and the fresh new impetus behind abortion and human stem cell research augur poorly. Last week, President Barack Obama reinstituted U.S. funding for overseas abortions, and the Food and Drug Administration approved the first human test with embryonic stem cells for treatment of spinal injury. This is pure danger.

Was it a coincidence that less than a week after the heightened move toward abortion the message from the reported site of Medjugorje in Bosnia-Hercegovina took on a surprisingly strident tone, saying that we "are on the wrong path" and explaining that she allegedly has been with us for such a long period of time because of it?

("I desire, little children, for each of you to fall in love with eternal life which is your future, and for all worldly things to be a help for you to draw you closer to God the Creator," says the full sequence of that unusual passage. "I am with you for this long because you are on the wrong path. Only with my help, little children, you will open your eyes.")

The embryonic tests could begin by summer, says the Geron Corporation, which will use human stem cells authorized for research by then-President George W. Bush in 2001. A little known fact is that although that president banned federal funding for creation of embryonic cells, he permitted research on those cells -- incipient human beings, humans at their tiniest -- that were already in existence. That compromise caused scientists to clamor for wider research, as reported in the lead stories in major newspapers on a date that will live in infamy: September 11, 2001.

We believe that it is related to the prediction of a new and "great" evil that was contained in an alleged locution we have called the "1990 prophecy" and implied just this: something coming that would be similar and comparable to abortion (reproductive) and yet different. Cloning and destruction of embryos (through embryonic stem-cell research) seem to fit the bill. A new and great evil is with us. More recently yet, House Leader Nancy Pelosi -- a Catholic -- said that birth control helps the economy and thus should be part of an economic recovery plan.

In his inaugural address, President Obama himself mentioned the expectation of "raging storms." What he may not realize is how his policies and those of his predecessor may contribute to what has been building up now for decades and will now take various heightened forms.

It brings us to today's point: that what looms in the future -- in the purification -- is likely to include events -- "storms" -- that are man-made, in the words of the Blessed Mother at another apparition site, catastrophes that will be "fashioned with human hands."

We know that events can take the form of natural disasters. We tend to focus on quakes, tsunamis, and the weather.

But what chastisements are we ourselves -- humans -- fashioning? Will the science we revere so much and that is now toiling with the tiniest of human life be turned against us? Will it start at the tiniest level?

In addition to genetically manipulating humans, scientists are  tinkering around at the microscopic and sub-microscopic level of physical reality. A recent article in the New Scientist reported a new laser detector that some believe has found "the point where space-time stops behaving like the smooth continuum Einstein described."

"Theoretical physicists have long believed that quantum effects will cause space-time to convulse wildly on the tiniest scales," said the magazine, explaining that they heard noises that sounded like their device was "being buffeted by the microscopic quantum convulsions of space-time." 

They are manipulating microbes -- germs. They are altering viruses. They are creating artificial structures that are smaller than a molecule. They are altering crops like corn. They are mixing human and animal DNA. They are filling our air with every kind of electromagnetism. Might such manipulation one day soon cause an unimagined disaster -- one that ranks with other catastrophes that men cause, such as war, terrorism, pollution, and economic collapse?

It is going to the most profound levels of physical existence and causes us to us reflect on a startling prophecy or word of knowledge given anonymously in 2004  as an addendum to the 1990 prediction.

"The world is now seriously out of conformance with the Will of God and what He created and intended," it claimed. "There are those who would reconfigure the very creatures He has formed, and who meddle with the texture of life. For this reason, the Lord will allow a huge reorientation. If not for the action of Heaven, what God has created on earth will soon be damaged beyond recovery.

"A very dramatic effect already is in progress as regards the support structures of what man calls  nature.

"Such cannot be allowed to take the final realization of total realignment when it comes to the very way elements and life forces interact. The event to come will surprise everyone who has offered a prognostication, and will show even recalcitrant scientists, though not all, that there is a fundamental alarm in Heaven over their arrogant and wayward course.

"Nothing that is artificial in a way that disrupts what God intended will be allowed to stand."

If you are not familiar with what has become known as the "1990 Prophecy", here is in its entirety. There were further revelations to the seer in 2004 and these will be discussed later in detail.

We submit the prophecy below for your discernment. We have mulled it over for more than ten years. It came in a dream. We think it may bear credibility. However, we are keeping certain details, including its source, anonymous for the time being. It quotes Jesus and occurred as a two-fold locution after a most unusual vision of an angel or young Jesus early in the morning of December 3, 1990:

"In four years there will arise a new evil the likes of which mankind has never before encountered. It will arrive almost imperceptibly, with few people noticing the depth of its evil, for it will appear to have beneficial and convenient aspects. It is an evil comparable to abortion -- that is to say, that even if evils as great and widespread as abortion were to be eliminated, this is enough of an evil that it would present mankind with an enormous challenge. This evil is being allowed as a test because of the prayers inspired by Mary to put off chastisements. How mankind responds to this new evil will determine the extent, length, and severity of the first chastisements. These chastisements will differ according to regions, and like the great evil, will not always or usually be immediately noticeable for what they are. In the period also will be a warning that involves not fire from the sky but fear of fire from the sky, and strange loud rumblings. This, according to mankind's response, will then be followed by another chastisement, or the inevitable onset of the change of era. Your era is ending. Soon the world will not be the world you know. I am not speaking of a barren world, or one depopulated, but of the end of your technological era. Many inventions of mankind will be broken down and there will be more of a peasant attitude and way of life everywhere. After this breakdown of false society will come persecution of Christians and also a new world order. The anti-christ will be on earth trying to affect the new world order. Hardly anyone will notice the extent of his influence until afterwards. He will not be of tremendous visibility until he is accomplished. That is to say, he will not rule, control, and be at all obvious to the world at the peak of his influence. He will not be unlike a figure such as Marx, except his ideas will be more immediate.

"I will come not as a man of flesh, but like My mother, who already nurses Me and holds Me in her arms, as a light and power. I will manifest Myself in a series of supernatural events similar to the apparitions but much more powerful. In other words, My second coming will be different than My first, and like My first, it will be spectacular to many but also unknown initially to many, or disbelieved. Yet truly I tell you, the arrogance of the world will have been broken, and so many more than normal will believe.

"I will come in towering light.

"My mother held me in her arms at Medjugorje, as an infant.

"I will come as she has come, in light.

"Know this about the world: I would not appear on television, nor ride a car, nor travel in an airplane.

"Would I come in such a manner?

"Would I live in such a world?

"You think of the changes in very simple ways, without realizing the fundamental mistakes of mankind.

"The very artifice of your societies is false and against the accordance of God's Will.

"This artifice shall not last.

"Your very conceptions of happiness and comforts are a great evil and falsity.

"They will not stand.

"My greatest nemesis is science, even more so than the media. The science that alters life, the science which creates a counterfeit heaven, the science that toils with the womb and genes, the science that has filled the air with the power of the enemy, the science which creates chemical witchcraft and fouls the earth, the science which seeks to create life but cannot in actuality even sustain it, the science which has denied God.

"This will fall, and all of its creations with it.

"The seat of Satan in America is north of San Francisco.

"New York City is under an evil cloud and will be for 12 years. Do not go there. The pride there will be broken.

"As for the anti-christ, remember Europe, and especially Central Europe.

"Yet know too that God's Hand will be evident in South America.

"The world will not end but change."

On December 22, 2004, the seer received this additional prophecy. Note that it is fourteen years after the original prophecy.

"There is going to be a major disruption in a region of the world that will affect everyone. The world is now seriously out of conformance with the Will of God and what He created and intended. "Heed this too: the politics of denial will be struck as with a plague.

"The smallest of what lives is precious in My sight.

"The angels have their instruction from east to west, and now a timetable has been set in motion.

"When the huge light is seen, I will act in a way I have not acted before."

While we must be very careful to discern alleged prophecies (and they are becoming more numerous) and always submit ourselves to the Church, we should not be close-minded to things which, after deep prayer and discernment, seem to have some bearing. One would have to be a cave man not to see that things are not good - morally, economically, within the churches, within countries at war, and a host of other concerns. Aside from these, there is a general feeling of restlessness on the parts of many Christians in particular - a feeling like waiting for the other shoe to drop. What is causing this unsettlement?

We need to pray and pray very much. These are days of one would perhaps never conceived of a few years back but they are here and getting worse. We have had and will most likely continue to have, perhaps much more severely, weather changes, earthquakes and other natural disasters. Should we not consider that perhaps, just perhaps, nature is rebelling because her Creator has been sorely offended? Should we not look at these events as warnings, signs that we are headed down the wrong road and need to correct our errant ways. A good beginning would be to end forever the daily murder of little babies.
